4 Wheel Alignment

In this series of pictures students are learning how to use an alignment machine while performing a 4 wheel alignment. Vehicles need to be aligned for directional stability, safety, better driver control, and tire wear. A  vehicle that drives straight and has less drag or rolling resistance can obtain better fuel mileage and in turn lower its carbon footprint.

Part Inspection

A student does an inspection of steering box parts. The parts must be reusable in order to overhaul the power steering box successfully

Steering Box Overhaul

As you can see in the picture the students are learning how to overhaul / repair a power steering gear box. Although we use mostly rack and pinion steering today these principles still apply and need to be learned

Sway Bar Links

After replacing the worn out front sway bar links the students finish the job by torquing the nuts to factory specificatins

Coil Spring Removal

As you can see in the picture removing a coil spring has some risk. To prevent possible injury or spring from quickly flying out it MUST be secured with a chain to something that won't move.
