Coil Spring Removal

As you can see in the picture removing a coil spring has some risk. To prevent possible injury or spring from quickly flying out it MUST be secured with a chain to something that won't move.
Always think safety first

Full Shop

As you can see in this picture the shop environment is very busy. We start on the workbench with training aids then to live work on student vehicles. I find that the students are more engaged when working on their own cars/trucks.

As you can see in the next picture two of my students practicing their newly learned skills.

Electude Gaming/Education

Check out this link below
This is a perfect example of how gaming has made its mark on education, I had a chance to use this product last term on a trial run. I can honestly say that the student engagement during discussions was increased. I feel that the ability to practice some of the material in a somewhat fun approach benefited  the students that wouldn't normally engage in class. the other feature I liked is like most software you get to how long they used the product, but more importantly where they need some instructor assistance

ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Testing

Using a Modis scan tool today the students learned how to test an ABS wheel sensor in real time. The advantage to this method of testing is you can watch the AC sine wave pattern, the voltage the sensor is producing, which is vital in finding the root problem. As you can see on the screen below we can display on a larger screen for complete class engagement.

Servo Brake System

Today the students learned how the servo brake system works.
The servo brake is self energizing. This achieved by the primary brake shoe aiding  the application of the secondary brake shoe. The purpose for this lowers the amount of hydraulic pressure required to apply the brakes.

You should use the proper brake tools to replace these components.
